2 week Permaculture Design Course (PDC)

18th – 31st July 2019

2019 will see the 6th year of the intensive and immersive Permaculture Design Course at Carraig Dúlra in County Wicklow.

This course is based on the internationally recognised PDC widely acknowledged as the basic grounding in Permaculture design.

The course in Carraig Dúlra is recognised and certified by the UK Permaculture Association. The course content covers all the essentials of a standard PDC and the main tutors are verified by the association.

However, there is nothing else ‘standard’ about this course!

Transformative learning, radical education, 14 experienced and active tutors, living close to nature under the stars, the sun, and indeed the rain! Living together with a shared purpose within much diversity, recreating our ‘culture’. It’s a hands-on, heads-on and hearts-on experience, one that opens a different way of thinking, learning and relating to one another and to the natural world.

In the past 5 years we’ve had such a diversity of people come to the course, that it’s not easy to ‘tagline’ who the course is for. Farmers, gardeners, activists, actors, and artists, landscape designers, teachers, wanderers, scientists, engineers, dancers, parents, -and children. Many nationalities, ages, and cultures. Many fine human beings with heart!

Perhaps start with a question then instead: Do you want to align your path with earth care, people care and fairshares of resources? Play an active part in solutioning!

Many aspects of the course cover essential and practical regenerative land management approaches and techniques. For garden, farm, public and wild spaces. Equally we explore, provide and create ‘people systems’ that work to benefit our own species -locally and globally.

I can’t forget: The fun and friends for life.
