Design Your Own Permaculture Garden

I have been getting lots of enquiries for Permaculture garden design – too many to be able to take on! Where possible I pass on enquiries to other designers and gardeners.

For those of you who are interested (even a little bit?!) in designing your own garden, or simply applying a Permaculture approach to your plot, I am planning to repeat a course that I ran a couple of years ago – ‘Design Your Own Permaculture Garden’.

This will be a 2 day course, based in Strokestown, Roscommon. I am taking expressions of interest and I will set a date when I see what the interest is.

It will cover simple and effective steps to get started on creating multifunctional gardens that provide the things we need and the things we love: Healthy food, water, natural medicine, biodiversity, nature beauty, play and community.

Design skills – overall layout, windbreaks & shelterbelts, plant guilds & choices, plant and element placement, forest gardening…. & more!

Practical skills (depending on time of year) – plant propagation, planting, composting, mulching….. & more!
