Practical Permaculture Design – An Introduction
25th March 2018 @ 10:00 am - 4:30 pm
This 1 day workshop will be an introduction to land based applications of Permaculture design. It will offer a pragmatic introduction to the what and the how of Permaculture; an overview of the main concepts and principles and patterns involved and how to use them. We will be considering how to design and set up a productive site in cooperation with natural elements.
Who is this Permaculture course of interest to?
- anyone wanting to understand the basics of Permaculture.
- those looking to design and ecologically manage a piece of land at any scale; garden, farm, community or commercial.
- and those who work (or play!) in related areas that could integrate this approach such as landscaping, gardening, farming, waste management etc.

We will focus on getting to grips with the
foundational principles, where they come from, and how they are applied to a project.
We will consider some key design approaches that together will enable you to see your project from this perspective.
You will learn how to best place elements in your project for maximum efficiency, to make the most of natural resources and to work with, rather than against nature.
It will be interactive, lighthearted, informative and applicable.
